JONES, Ronald D. "RJ", a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, died February 10, 2018 at age 71. He was born in Detroit on May 1, 1946 to the late James Clyde and the late Ruby Mae Jones. He valiantly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and then his city as a Detroit Police officer. He is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 50 years Linda Lee (nee: Carson), sons Ronald D. Jones II (Robyn Mitchell) Gordon James Jones (Kimberly) and Robert Jones (Melanie) and daughters Lori Ann Jones and Debbie Koval (Thomas). Proud and loving Papa of Andrew, Joseph, Bobby, Gordon II, Rachel, Alyssa and Kate. Predeceased by his brothers Wayne and Bill and sisters Joyce, Dorothy "Dot" and Doris Faye "Dobber". RJ had a strong faith, deep patriotism and loved his family more than anything else. He will be greatly missed by many. Visitation Wednesday 3-7pm. Memorial service including military honor rendered by the United States Marine Coprs, Thursday 11am at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile).
